Huey Lewis Cruisin

“Cruisin” is a 2000 song performed by Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis as a cover for the film Duets. It appears on its own single as well as the movie soundtrack, and did extremely well on the charts, hitting number one in Australian and number nine on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles.
Huey Lewis was not the creator of the song, however. It was first recorded decades prior in 1979 by Smokey Robinson, and proved one of his best selling solo singles. It was included on Robinson’s ninth record, Where There’s Smoke…, and managed to peak at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Cruisin” plays a part in the actual action of Duets as Lewis and Paltrow sing it together on-stage.
